Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Comments about Danner APB Leather/Fabric Uniform Boots:
I bought these boots because I have a pair of Ft Lewis boots that I have owned for almost 20 years and the boot still looks and performs as new, typical Danner quality, they just needs new soles! Because I work as an Airport Screening Officer, I wanted something that will last a long time and be comfortable. After buying these boots in 9D last April, I still get sore feet if I wear anything but a thin sock because they feel so narrow. I have always worn this size so I am quite surprised at the fit. I'm hoping they loosen over time. It took six months at least for them to feel broken in to the point I could wear them for a full shift. Other than that, these boots are made very well and I am glad I have them!

Comments about Danner APB Leather/Fabric Uniform Boots:
Bought these boots after I wore out a similar priced pair of Haix. The Haix were good, but these Danner's are a phenomenal step up in my opinion. Take some getting used to and need to be broken in, compared to a soft soled boot, but worth every penny. I think these are the best compromise between the heavy soled Acadias and the more common soft soled patrol boots. Looking forward to many long work days with these on my feet!
Pros
- Comfortable
- Fit good
- More toe room
- Nice outsoles
Cons
- Imported
- Laces fray easily
- Stitching uneven
- Tough break-in

Comments about Danner APB Leather/Fabric Uniform Boots:
I bought the leather/fabric APBs after the Danner Strikers were changed. I also wanted a resoleable boot, but the Acadias are too narrow at the toe. The APBs have an ample amount of room at the toe which is a big plus over the Acadias. The break-in is tough, and you should wear them for a while before trying to do a 10-12 hour shift in them. They are comfortable after the break-in, and are a very stable feeling boot. The quality of these imported Danners however is a concern. The laces will fray very very quickly around the top 3 eyelets. When they arrived I instantly noticed that the laces section of my right boot extended toward the toe about a quarter to a half inch more toward the toe than the left boot. Some of the stitching was hanging out in places. These problems were not quite bad enough to send the boots back, but they were close. Danner, please don't sacrifice quality for outsourcing production. I would gladly pay a little extra for that true Danner quality, and would like to remain a loyal Danner customer.
Comments about Danner APB Leather/Fabric Uniform Boots:
purchased these 1 year ago after having a pair of strikers for 5 years. The black outside finish started turning brown and the inside liner tore away from the leather at the top. I like the style and take pride in keeping my boots looking good however I was disappointed with the overall quality.

Comments about Danner APB Leather/Fabric Uniform Boots:
Had a pair of Acadia boots that I wore for 5 years until the sole wore out. Tried these boots. They look great and are well made but are heavy. Didn't like the fact that they can not be worn through metal detection devices and are imported from...CHINA! ugh! I have purchased new Acadia's and resoled my old ones. Anyone want to buy a pair of used APB boots?
