Crafted with our rock solid stitchdown construction the APB™ is one of our toughest boots, featuring a polishable full-grain leather and rugged 1000 Denier nylon upper, GORE-TEX® lining for waterproof and breathable comfort, and a Vibram® Maltese outsole which provides stability underfoot and superior traction in diverse terrain.

This boot is built on our most popular last, the 850. This last fits true to size with an athletic and supportive fit while providing ample room in the toe. This comfortable, supportive fit is ideal for those needing high mileage performance from their gear.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

These boots were of questionable quality and did not fit my expectations for Danner boots in general. The boots did not look alike from the top, the left boot was not constructed the same as the right, the lacing distance from the front of the boot to laces was visually off, the Right boot was both longer and wider. I was really confused until I noticed these are made in China and my other Danners are built in the US. I still beleive Danner makes the best boots out there - as long as "they" make them.

What happened? In my 16 years in law enforcement I have purchased many pairs of Danner boots for Patrol/SWAT because of the quality and durabilty. I never thought twice about the price because I knew I would be getting a quality boot. This is the first time I have been disappointed. The boots did not match one another. The right was wider than the left, the soles were different size and even the pattern on them was a bit different. I love the look and style of this boot, but wish the workmanship and attention to detail was better. I mean that is why we are willing to spend the extra money on Danner... lets make them all in the USA!!!

I ordered size 10 Regular (which is the size I normally wear in most shoe companies) Width felt fine but the top of the boot was pressing down on the top of my toes. Very strange feeling and doubtful that it would be resolved with a wider boot.

Sorry but Danner has fallen considerably when it comes to quality control. Try Haix or Redback boots. Head and shoulders above Danner.

I bought my pair in the factory store. I had to buy a 1/2 size bigger then my normal size but a great fit and very comfortable.
