This boot is built on our most popular last, the 850. This last fits true to size with an athletic and supportive fit while providing ample room in the toe. This comfortable, supportive fit is ideal for those needing high mileage performance from their gear.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

I just received my new Danner all leather APB boots, and they appear as good as I expected. Out of the box they are stiff, but I expected that. I bought them a half size larger since they are insulated with 400 grams of thinsulate, and the fit is just right. I had the GTX Striker II in the past, which ate shoelaces and the soles split after a while. Before that they were great boots for a few years. As a Deputy Sheriff I put them through a lot in those years and got my money's worth out of them. I expect to have these even longer, since they can be resoled and refurbished. Danner boots are the best I have owned in twenty five years of police work.

The sales representative at the Danner factory store listend as I explained that I needed durable, comfortable boots for patrol duty. Thankfully, he recommended these boots based upon my needs, rather than price alone. Although the boots were a bit more money than I originally intended spend, he took the time to explain the long-term benefits of the boots versus the up front cost. These boots were the first and only one I tried on; I wore them out of the store. Thank you!!

I have waited a year before deciding to write about these boots. I bought these for both winter wear around town and for wearing while hunting in Northern Minnesota. Last year was mid teens for temperatures and this year was mid 20's to low 30's. I spent hours in the stand last year and about 8 hours a day walking through the woods this year any my feet stayed dry, warm and comfortable the entire time (not to mention dry during my mile long trek through the swamp).
I have no complaints about these boots at this time and would recommend them to anybody.

Police Officer in CT. Love the wide sole, good for traction and stability while the boot itself still fits snug. Great for winter and freezing conditions including mud, ice, sand, snow, water, and wooded conditions. Has been water proof for me so far. The 400 g Insulate is awsome. This is a great product all around and as a female needing footwear like this its great to see Danner offer this boot like most of its products in very small men's sizes. I have had mine for 3 months, they are not close to being worn out but I love them so much I am considering using the last of my department uniform allowance to purchase another pair to put away for the future in the event they become discontinued or back ordered for some reason.

I bought this pair of boots after having a pair of Strikers for a couple years. The Strikers were great boots. I decided to upgrade to these and am very disappointed. They are not nearly as comfortable and my feet get very cold in the winter. The biggest disappointment is the waterproofing. Since day 1 they have not protected my feet from water as good as the Strikers. Maybe they are defective, but after a year of wearing these boots I can not even walk through wet grass without having wet feet.
