Melee 6" Hot Military Boots
Danner's lightest and most flexible tactical boot, the Melee features a unique outsole design. Our unique Melee outsole is constructed with a 360˚ pentagonal low lug pattern for grip in all directions, a rugged outer lug pattern with molded siping that disperses water and provides maximum surface contact and Danner’s patent pending VIA technology which provides a V-4 abrasion rubber compound in the medial side arch for fast roping control.

DLE-01 Last
The DLE-01 last was designed to be an extension of the foot with superior forefoot and heel capture, stability and a more anatomical shape for comfort. The additional space in the toebox allows the foot to naturally react when bearing a heavy load or changing directions laterally in high intensity environments.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Use these as everyday wear at work, they get alot of miles each day and are quite comfortable out of the box, however, they do run on the long side

I got these boots as an alternative to my TFXs which I wear daily. So far, with two days of field wear, they seem well built. The sole is stiffer than the TFX, and hopefully they won't wear out so quickly.
They do feel much lower to the ground. There is practically no rise to the heel. They almost feel like my New Balance Barefoot shoes, but in boot form . So far no negative comments.

Broke these out of the box today and wore them for the first time. While not as light as my Under Armour Valsetz or my Rocky C4T boots, they are still very, very, very lightweight. They also seem to be much more ruggedly built that either of the boots listed above. Aside from the fact that they are 6" boots (which you can hide it you blouse your uniform trousers properly) I cannot think of anything negative to say about these boots. Wore them all day without any hot spots and they feel as if I've owned them for years (in a good way). Looking forward to taking them out to the field and testing them out in more austere conditions.
