DLE-01 Last
The DLE-01 last was designed to be an extension of the foot with superior forefoot and heel capture, stability and a more anatomical shape for comfort. The additional space in the toebox allows the foot to naturally react when bearing a heavy load or changing directions laterally in high intensity environments.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.
Free Return Shipping
Rest assured that if the boot you receive doesn’t fit correctly, we pay for return shipping back to us. You can order with confidence knowing return shipping is always on us.

Comments about Danner Melee 6" Canteen Uniform Boots:
i am currently in a very mountainous area of Afghanistan and these boots are absolutely excellent for helping to carry around 100 plus pounds worth of gear for as long as is necessary. I have had these boots for about a week now and the only downside that i have found for them so far is that the sole is just a little bit to thin for some of the sharper rocks but it is probably because i am between 275 and 325 LBS with all of my gear on. But i will definatly be purchasing another pair of these exact same boots when these wear out. Thank you Danner i could not have expected more. I have got quite a few buddies that will also be purchasing these boots after hearing my bragging about how good my feet feel after a couple of days of walking around.

Comments about Danner Melee 6" Canteen Uniform Boots:
After having these boots for two weeks they have been great. One week was all urban/cqb training with lots of weight like gear, equipment, and armor all day long and boots did great. Feet felt great at the end of everyday and at end of the week. I only worry how long the tread will last??? It just doesn't seem deep enough to last long but I hope I'm wrong. This past week was normall day to day all around use and I absolutly love them.
Pros
- Dry fast
- Light

Comments about Danner Melee 6" Canteen Uniform Boots:
Daily use combat boot. I use these in the swamps of southern mississippi. Days are long and hot. Boot keeps my feet cool. Dry fast and my feet don't hurt after running around all day. We get issued the Rockey SSV's and they do nothing but hold mud. I will never buy another boot.
Pros
- Comfortable
Cons
- Seam Over Pinkey Toe
Best Uses
- Everyday wear
- Hiking
- Work
Comments about Danner Melee 6" Canteen Uniform Boots:
So far, great boot. Biggest hitch is the seam over my pinky toe that puts annoying pressure. However, I found that loosening the lower laces up helps. They are great otherwise, even with my plantar faciatis.
Pros
- breathable
- Extremely comfortable
- Super lightweight
- SURPRISINGLY SUPPORTIVE
Cons
- None as of yet
Best Uses
- Everyday use
Comments about Danner Melee 6" Canteen Uniform Boots:
So far these are just my everyday wear boots and they're replacing a pair of CAT Work Shoes. I was planning on buying the Tektite Plain Toe 3" Grey Work Boots as a true replacement, but these caught my eye first.
Definitely up there in the top 5 pieces of footwear that I've ever owned, and I've only had these for a very short time. I've got flat feet, and no orthotics (as of yet) so I was prone to a bit of hip/back pain if walking/standing for extended periods of time. Surprisingly enough, I find I'm not having anywhere near the same level of discomfort when wearing these.
Additionally, as a bigger guy (6'2 and appx. 300lbs), you can imagine that I'm pretty hard on my footwear, but these have held up quite well so far.
As for the fit, I've always taken a 13.5, but they were not available at the time, so I opted for a 14 after reading that they tend to be a bit snug. The 14's fit quite well, are snug around the ball of my foot, and have a little wiggle room at the toes.
I guess the only downside is that they're not waterproof, but I knew that before ordering, and I guess that's the tradeoff for them being moisture-wicking.
