Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Comments about Danner Army Kinetic GTX Military Boots:
I bought a pair of these 2 years ago, and still wearing them today. The boots are amazing for comfort (they feel better then my tennis shoes). I wear them year round 7 days a week. I live in Montana and even with -20 degree weather and knee deep snow, my feet stayed decently warm with a pair of good wool socks on. The only problem I have had is they ripped at the seams and where the boot bends on both sides of my feet. I expected that since I have never had a boot last a year without coming apart in some way. I am a fence contractor and walk on average 200 - 300 miles during the fencing season, in very rugged terrain. Also working with barbed wire doesn't help with keeping a boot new for very long. During the winter months I hunt, camp, and fish a ton. All in all I enjoyed having these boots on my feet everyday!
Pros
- Comfortable
- Easy lacing
- Easy on Easy off
- Good Fit
- Lightwieght
- no heel slippage
- Quick break in period
- Waterproof
Cons
- Laces different lengths
- Stains at creases
Best Uses

Comments about Danner Army Kinetic GTX Military Boots:
I wear the boots everyday for work, which consists of walking 3 to 4 miles a day on hard pavement and dirt, up and down stairs and ladders.Even used them on a 4 day hunt down in the Big Bend area
Fit was great from day one, after working 10 hours cutting wood, boots arrived, tried them on and wanted to toss old pair away. Felt like a pair of tennis shoes with bubble wrap around ankles
I have worn the old Marine leather combat boots and other types of hiking boots. These boots are lightweight and the goretex feature keep my feet dry and comfortable. Temps range from triple digit down to below freezing, feet never get cold or to hot in the boots. The boots feel great with Smartwool socks. There is plenty of wiggle room in the toebox, this is a plus since i have aging feet. Picked up a water stain where the boot flexes and has been dark ever since,
Pros
- Ankle support
- Comfortable
- Minimal break-in time
- Waterproof

Comments about Danner Army Kinetic GTX Military Boots:
This boot is a very comfortable boot. There is almost no break in time, and has kept my feet in great shape. I just spent a month in Washington State where it rains almost every day, and my feet were always dry.
HOWEVER, this boot is not nearly as durable as the TFX. The top of my lip of my boot under the laces has started to shred, and some of the sides has started to tear. I have only owned these boots for 3-4 months. Granted, they have undergone heavy training stress. I know there are many boots out there that could withstand the stress these have undergone much better. DON'T EXPECT TO USE THIS BOOT FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME.
I recommend you shell out the extra 30 dollars and buy the well tested well approved TFX. I know about fifty people with that boot and not one major complaint.

- Very Comfortable

Comments about Danner Army Kinetic GTX Military Boots:
I bought these boots specifically for use in a "garrison" environment in Afghanistan. I am less than six months into them and they are literally falling apart. The leather has torn and ripped on the upper and around the heels, not on just one foot but both. The right boot is in way worse shape than the left with what look like knife cuts all throughout the leather. The sole is far from worn... what gives? I work in an office setting so there is no way it's from rocks or the rigors of combat action... perhaps it's just poor quality in this pair of boots??
