The 650 last offers a sleek, slender profile with a more narrow fit. Boots on this last tend to fit those with a more narrow foot better than those with a wider foot. This ensures a snug fit for terrain and activities that demand support and stability. If you do have a wider foot, we recommend ordering an "EE" (wide) in this style.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.
Free Return Shipping
Rest assured that if the boot you receive doesn’t fit correctly, we pay for return shipping back to us. You can order with confidence knowing return shipping is always on us.

Comments about Danner Acadia Mens/Womens Uniform Boots:
First off this is the first pair of Danner boots I have ever bought/worn. I am very impressed with them, I work Security mostly outdoors in the sun, rain, mud, snow and several other questionable conditions. The boots have held up with minimal wear on the leather. I wear them for an average of 10 hours a day at least 6 days a week. Second I would like to thank Danner. I have had the boots for a little over seven months and the Danner warranty is only 6 months on occupational and work boots. The Gore Tex lining recently started leaking which is not a good thing with all the wet weather we get here in Washington. Even though they were out of warranty the Danner Factory store in Portland still replaced them with a brand new pair. It's nice to find a company that will stand by it's product and it's craftsmanship. [...]

Comments about Danner Acadia Mens/Womens Uniform Boots:
I bought these boots based on the reviews and the reputation of Danner for quality. I have no complaints about the construction and materials; these feel and look like they'll last forever. Plus they just look cool.
I wear them everyday in an urban setting and walk an average of 3 - 5 miles a day. I've worn these on 10 - 15 mile walks in the city I live in too. Overall they are stable and firm yet comfortable. But after several weeks of wearing them -- granted not every single day -- they still don't feel quite broken in. It may be a combination of the nylon mesh and stiff, high quality leather Danner uses, but it seems like it will take these boots a long time to conform to my feet and lower legs.
The main suggestion I have for these boots is regarding the heel area -- I find it to be lacking shape and support. Every other boot and shoe I own fits me fine, but these slip in the heel, even laced tightly while wearing boot socks. The front of the boot fits fine and feels comfortable. I'm hoping that, once the leather breaks in, the heel will hold better. Also the 1/3 insole insert doesn't seem to do much; I would recommend that Danner provide a full insert.
Overall, though, these seem like a good investment and one that I would recommend to others. I wanted to love these boots but don't yet; hopefully with heel-counters and more of a break-in, I will.

Comments about Danner Acadia Mens/Womens Uniform Boots:
I have two pairs of Acadia's in my 5 year career. In my opinion, there is no other uniform boot. I've tried other Danners (Stryker)and a pair of overhyped Oakley "Asasult Boots". The only things the Oakley's assaulted were my wallet, and my feet. I liked the Strykers until the heel separated form the boot. I have had absolutely no problems with the Acadia. Yeah, they're a bit pricey but they pay for themselves in no time. Stop reading reviews on other boots! Buy a pair of Acadia's!

Comments about Danner Acadia Mens/Womens Uniform Boots:
I am a police officer in Alabama and was looking for a comfortable pair of waterproof boots that are long lasting or that could be resoled. Boy did these ever miss the mark! I was a little skeptical about the Danner's due to the price, but figured that you get what you pay for. Let me start by saying that the boots look great. When I got them, I noticed that they did not have removable insoles like every other pair of boots that I have owned (Original SWAT, Bates, Ridge, Magnum, Oakley). However, they did come with the airthotics. I read and found that the mid-sole/in-sole are integrated into the sole under the Gore-Tex liner. Also, the seam for the Gore-Tex Liner is located in the middle of the foot bed which travels the length of the boot which I found to be very uncomfortable when walking. Besides Ridge, I would have to say that these are the most uncomfortable boots that I have ever worn. Also, I found out that the traction is not that great on wet floors. For the price, Danner leaves comfort lacking!
