I'm an EMT with 2 agencies and these have been well worth the cost. The heavy duty zipper is more durable than those built in zippers on other boots. They take some time to lace in, but once they're in adjusting them is easy. Would definately recommend.

I work for an ambulance agency and use these zippers in my full leather Acadia's (not sure if Danner even makes them anymore. The boots have a little tag on them with a Maltese cross.) I have used them 2-3 days a week for 24 hours at a time over 3 years. I have definitely gotten my money's worth for one point. I'm still using the same laces they came with and only adjusted them for the first year I had them. These zippers only work better with age and I honestly do not have a single con to report. Get the zippers borderline "too tight" and they will stretch a bit. You'll have to adjust them after use. Eventually it'll feel like you just put a sock on..

I still have the zippers, but the laces that came with it broke after about 3 months of wear. The set comes with instructions on how to lace the zippers in using two sets of laces per boot instead of one for a sturdy fit. I called Danner and they sent the laces to me for free. They lasted about a month longer then the original set. I love my Acadias, but this just didn't work for me. My recommendation for Danner would have been sending enough laces to thread them like I did the second time and to look into a stronger material. I would try this product again if I thought the laces would stand the test of time.

I have had two sets of these zippers on my work boots as a paramedic. I have broken off two of the zipper stops. One within the first week of ownership the other one after 4 months of working. But for as much money as your spending I expect Danner to make these out of metal or make better zipper to match the quality of their boots. Just my two cents.

My name is Jason and I'm a Paramedic in Oregon. In the EMS field time is critical. When we receive a call we need to be dressed and on the road in seconds. These Zippers have made getting in and out of my work boots efficient and easy. Once I got them adjusted to the right tension I've yet to change them in over a year. My boots will fail before the zipper will. I recommend these to anyone who is interested in quick and efficient boot removal and donning.
