Comments about Danner Acadia Over-Calf Mojave Midweight:

Bought 3 then 6 pair a few months ago. Because I'm in the Marine Corps I'm limited to what I can wear based of sock color (Black, Brown, or Green) and availability. I use them every day walking around in Hawaii (though they would be better for temperate climates) and in the field; this includes elements like rain and shine in a reasonably humid environment; during training. They're worth the money because they fit well, I still manage to keep comfortably cool in them, and sweat is reduced to a minimum. Plus they are made more of wool than cotton so they stay pretty dry even when you do sweat.

Comments about Danner Acadia Over-Calf Mojave Midweight:

I got a mild case of frostbite in my toes about 20 years ago and have had a hard time keeping my feet warm in the winter ever since. I still work in the severe cold and summer heat and this is the first pair of socks that worked with my insulated and/or waterproof boots to keep my feet warm and dry. I've tried other brands of wool socks, but none of them compete. These socks are worth their weight in gold and the money spent. These socks still stay up on my calf after multiple washes, unlike other brands that don't after the first wash.
